Actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday launched a mobile app and said that it would serve as a platform for the public to voice their concerns and dissent. Haasan, who turned 63 today, said that the app would "be a sort of a whistleblower platform" where people can raise issues whenever something wrong happens. The launch of the app is being seen as the first step by Haasan towards floating a party. "I plan to tour across Tamil Nadu, volunteers doing good work in all districts. All parties appreciate our social welfare work," he said. Haasan has been making politically loaded statements in the recent past. Since July, the 63-year-old veteran actor has been maintaining that he's ready to form his own political party. For his political party, Haasan indicated that he would crowd-sourced funds to ensure transparency. He said all these methods of operating his party have been inspired by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Arvind Kejriwal. A few weeks ago, Haasan met Kejriwal in Chennai and the two had lunch together.
